The Renaissance Fine Arts Festival was recently named a TOP TWENTY EVENT by the Southeast Tourism Society and among the TOP 100 U.S. ART FAIRS by Art Fair Sourcebook for the second year in a row.

Enjoy a splendid weekend of events that showcases some of America’s finest artists offering artwork that is creative, inventive, unusual and unique.  Chosen by a panel of independent jurors, selected media include clay, drawing/pastels, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and wood.

There will also be a host of children’s activities in our pARTicipate area featuring “make and take” crafts and storytelling at Barnes & Noble Booksellers with Biscuit, the silly, yellow puppy who always wants one more hug and TV and story book favorite, Maisy Mouse.

NEW!  Valet Parking – The Jackson Central Lions Club will be parking cars for the convenience of our patrons this year.  For only a $5 donation to the Jackson Central Lions Club, you can pull up to the east entrance of Barnes & Noble Booksellers and leave the parking to them.  And, one of our main festival entrances is right there.

The Ridgeland Tourism Commission created the Renaissance Fine Arts Festival to provide an opportunity for people from across the southeast to view and purchase some of the finest artwork created in the U.S today.

The Renaissance Fine Arts Festival is held annually at the beautiful Renaissance at Colony Park (www.renaissanceatcolonypark.com).  Opened in 2008, the Renaissance at Colony Park is a lifestyle center masterpiece for shopping, dining and entertainment inspired by the old-world beauty and grace of European and Mediterranean architecture.  The outdoor festival atmosphere allows patrons to mingle with the artists and talk with them about their influences, media and methods.

Over the past three years, the festival has grown from attracting 7,500 patrons to more than 12,000.  We will feature nearly 100 artists in 2012 which is considerably more than the 73 artists we hosted in 2009.

Sponsorship opportunities are available to companies or organizations wanting to promote their brand at this contemporary visual art show and sale that features Mississippi’s widest selection of artwork. For more information about sponsorships, please contact Doyle Warrington by calling 601-605-5252 or by email: doyle@visitridgeland.com.
